Issue 09: Fashion & Food

£4.50

A playful romp of a magazine that combines two important themes: clothing & comestibles. After all, these are the little luxuries which give life its shine.

SELECTED PIECES IN THIS ISSUE:

What the Frock? Demysteafying the Tea Gown

A look inside the historical shift in teatime attire

The Mills Fabrica: A Scientific Spectacle

Step inside this sustainable ‘techstyle’ and ‘agrifood’ platforms in King’s Cross

Rebel Yell! What if We Put More Clothes On?

An almost-Biblical tirade against barely-there dressing

EXTRACT FROM EDITOR’S LETTER:

“The cold is biting, yes, but this is the golden middle of winter. It’s no longer the end of summer, so we cannot mourn heatwaves just past, and yet it’s a while till sodden down-trodden February, when we all start to feel truly sapped. December is party season; January is a fresh start. These things distract us from the dark. And if we crave for light, there are the festive sparkles and pub firesides.

Around the new year, I always sense a strain of hope, weaving luminously through all Londoners. We cannot help but wish for silver linings, for better tidings. It has been a tumultuous year; we may as well celebrate the end of it. All you will need for now is good clothes and good grub. Welcome to Issue 09: FASHION & FOOD.”
