Submissions

We believe in great stories written by real people, and in supporting our freelance authors: as an indie magazine, LOST ART pays a standard rate of £125 for an online article. But we also have firm guidelines for all our writers.

First: read our articles. Make sure you’re familiar with our style and what we cover. Our articles are between 650 - 1250 words.

We do want great human interest stories. Pitch us thoughtful features about cultural trends, esoteric topics demystified for mainstream readers, and unexpected scoops across the arts!

We do not commission freelance gallery reviews or interviews, and never publish news, political commentary, lazy hot takes, poetry, fiction, or anything promoting hate or negativity.

Finally, LOST ART is run by a small team of three, and unfortunately don’t have the capacity to respond to every pitch. If we haven’t replied to you in two weeks, I’m afraid that means your pitch wasn’t right for us.
