Bringing the Digital to Life: the future of art & tech in museums

Join us at The Sloane Club for the launch party of our COLLECTOR’S EDITION of ‘Spill the Beanz: Digital Arts and Cultures’.

It will be a classic LOST ART evening: one of thoughtful discussion with a playful twist…

To celebrate the release of this expanded version, we’re bringing the text to life by hosting a talk with the thought-leaders interviewed in our pages.

We’ll dive headlong into the new world of digital arts and cultures asking:

  • Why is digital art so seductive?

  • How are NFTs entering our most hallowed museums, and do they belong there?

  • What would exhibitions look like if we all owned one pixel of a painting?

The evening will include champagne and canapés, as well as a chance to get a sneak peak of a special artwork made to commemorate this issue by the Art of Ping Pong (it’ll be up for auction at later date).

TICKETS: Tixs are £15, with a copy of the magazine included (copies will retail at £16.00). Come and raise a glass to our latest paper baby – we can’t wait to see you there! Purchase tickets HERE.

SPEAKERS:

Robert Alice is an artist, curator, writer and pioneer in the crypto art and NFT space. His book On NFTs, published by Taschen, investigates blockchains and their histories, and his work has been sold in Christie’s, as well as acquired by major national collections, including the Centre Pompidou and Monnaie de Paris.

Marlène Corbun is Head Curator at LaCollecion, a digital art platform which operates as a global meeting point for new communities of collectors at the forefront of art, culture and NFTs. She frequently works with renown public institutions such as the British Museum and MFA Boston with the aim of bridging the gap between tradition and new tech.

She leads the historic museum’s Rapid Response Collecting programme and her research focuses on product and digital design. Current projects include a book on the history and future of digital art. Panel moderated by Nina-Sophia Miralles, journalist and editorial director of LOST ART.
