Celebrate Samhain with a day of sensuality and spirituality in the Cotswolds as we host our most entrancing session to date.
Join SECRET CEREMONY at the newly restored Jacobean manor house, Ampney Park, which was only opened to the public at the end of summer…
This is a rare chance to experience not only the gothic beauty of this property, but also take part in Samhain rituals to help usher in the earthy months of winter.
The evening will include:
WITCHY CINEMA*: We’ll begin with a screening of the 1972 cult classic, Season of the Witch, in the library. Imbibing this forgotten cinematic gem in opulent surroundings will set the mood.
‘HOMMAGE AUX MORTS’ BANQUET: In the evening we’ll host a traditional Dumb Supper, in which the meal is eaten backwards (dessert first, starter last).
We eat this four-course feast in reverse to turn life on its head and see things in a new way, welcoming new beginnings and bidding fond farewells. Each dish will honour our entering the dark half of the year and will be accompanied with a live piano recital.
TAROT, BONFIRE & TOUR OF THE GROUNDS: As Samhain celebrates the moment the veil between our world and the spirit world is believed to be at its thinnest, there will be a chance to get your tarot read, culminating in a bonfire in the historic gardens, where we’ll burn paper to let go the things that no longer serve us.
*Tickets to our film screening will be limited and must be requested at booking.
